We all know the Subaru right? Its one of the most well known car brands on the planet with the car being driven on roads all over. The car has several brands with the WRX being the biggest chic magnet if Kenyans are to be believed.

One of the less well known in the line in the car range is the Subaru Forester. The car (cue copy and paste from the press release) was “launched in 1997 and acclaimed worldwide for its drivability, riding comfort, rugged rough-road capability and utility and superior maneuverability.”

Well the latest version of the Subaru Forester was launched last week at the Windsor Golf and Country Club with Nairobi deputy governor Jonathan Mueke taking on guest of honour duties. The Subaru Forester 2014 specs look impressive and include;

  • 4 channel ABS braking system with Electronic Brake-force Distribution

  • Vehicle Dynamic Control system – Stability & Traction Control

  • 9 airbags – including curtain, side and knee airbag for driver

  • Roll steel cage

  • Crumple zones in front section to minimize injury in frontal collision

  • Whiplash reducing front seats

  • Rear vision camera

  • Front and rear fog lights

  • Day running lights

 There is a lot more the car has on offer and if you want to know more about it you want to check out the official Subaru Kenya website. Still no indication of price yet but as soon as it is available I’ll pass the word.
