:: Mwangi Wanjumbi’s business opinions
5 November 2006
I ran into Mwangi Wanjumbi a few months ago at the MSK
Mtandariko at the Panafric sponsored by Safaricom.
At the time, he handed me a business card. I didn't think too
much of it until I attended the USIU
Alumni AGM yesterday. At the AGM he made an impassioned please
to us all to give back to the community. After the elections I
said hi to fellow and he handed me another card. The guy isn't
doing too badly. The gentleman it turns out is the dude who will
always be called by Inooro FM (Royal Media's Kikuyu station) to
help listeners fathom what is going down in Kenya's turbulent
business environment. His proposals have also been adopted by
the Youth Development Fund and more.
My greatest interest in the dude is off course his website newtimesconsultants.com.
I love bankelele the
business blogger but I am always on the lookout for more content
in the business field. So it was with some pleasure that I noted
that Wanjumbi's website gives opinions on various things happening
in the business field and gives them a local /international context.
Opinions in his newsletter include telling us why Mohamed Yunus
should have won the Nobel Prize, opportunities from Telkom Kenya’s
cable woes, how small businesses can benefit from big business
and more. It’s a very interesting read.

for interesting and informative opinions on business.
