:: Conjestina wins 1st comeback fight as Sirengo Tumbles
10th March

Kenyan Conjestina Achieng (10-4-3) won her non-title fight against Tanzanian Monica Mwakasanga (5-4-1)at Nyayo STadium in Nairobi City. The Kenyan displayed rare skills when she won in a 5th
round TKO. The Tanzanina suffered a deep cut on her left eyebrow that forced the medics to advise the referee Shabaan Ogola to discontinue the fight.

Achieng in the first of three non-title fights she has to win to be considered for any title challenges
showed a diferent self when she comfortably switched to southpaw stance to contain her oponnent. Mwakasanga gave a good account of herself dspite suffering a 2nd round knockdown. Mwakasanga kept her form by avoiding skillfully Achieng's hard right through out the rounds. The Tanzanian left the ring beeding profusely from a devastating hook from Achieng, vowing to return to kenya for nother encounter against her old foe. The two have fought three times before with the kenyan winning three and Mwakasanga one fight in Tanzania.

The main bout was the Kenyan National Middleweight Title between Shadrack Kipruto (Now won 12 (4 ko's)-9-2) and Steven Esonga (W 6 (1 ko's) 12-1). Kipruto won when the referee Shabaan Ogolla stopped the fight in the 7th round after a barrage of blow from Kipruto. Dougas Otieno stopped Ugandan Meddy Serunjogi in the 6th round in a Supermiddleweight fight, Samson Ataro won against debutant Danniel Wanyonyi when the latter refused to leave his corner in the 4h round. Other all kenyan fights featured Geofrey Munica winning against ANdrew Samba in a lightweight fight, and Chris Sirengo completely belittled by Tanzanian Ahmed Clyde 17 years his junior

An otherwise exciting event was dampenned when shocked Kenyan boxing fans witnessed their own heavyweight hero Chris Sirengo (Now W 12 (7 ko's)-13-1) kiss the canvas 13 times in a 6 round non-title against little known Tanzanian Eddie Ahmed Clyde (Now 2-0). The 28 year old Tanzanian defied a 17 year difference in age with his Kenyan Senior taking control of the fight through all rounds. four of the events involving the ring floor were effectively effeted by Ahmed while the rest of the times that SIreng wen down were due to his missed hooks and wayward aproach that the Tanzanian
ducked , leaving Srengo to fall as a result of his own inertia or his own backtracking.

The fights promoted by Atomic Bunde of Timebomb Promotions were aired live on KBC Channel 1 from 2pm to 6:30pm.
