We all know that the biggest thing in extreme sports for cars is the Rhino Charge which has been running for the last twenty five years. A Rhino Charge course for the uninformed involves cars going through several very difficult obstacles for a car like boulders, big holes etc. This idea probably became pretty popular when the guys who started the charge in 1989 had to navigate through the then Jogoo and Juja Road.
Seeing as the best way to show your car is hardcore is a rhino charge, the good folk of DT Dobie decided to showcase the awesomeness of the Jeep Grand Cherokee “Limited” last weekend. The course they used was the new Jeep range at the Glenn Mathews 4 X 4 Centre in Karen.
On hand was Philippe Delunsch the Sales and Marketing Director of DT Dobie who explained the impressive technical specifications, comfortable driver and passenger accommodation and the durability of Jeeps. These guys know quite a bit about he cars they sell truth be told.
Some of its specs include a 3600cc petrol engine developing 280 horse power with five speed automatic transmission. This luxury 4 X 4 has air suspension is supposed to give you a high level of driver and passenger comfort regardless of whether the Grand Cherokee is being driven in town, or on rough bush tracks. Maneuvering is made easy with a park assist system and a reversing camera.
At the place were many fans of the car and it did show its versatility. Here are scenes from that day.
