Kenyan films gunning for Ugandan based Amakula Film Festival

Kenya has three movies in the running for awards at the 2012 Amakula Kampala Cinema Caravan Festival that runs in Uganda’s capital this week.  Its been great in the last few months as Nairobi Half Life that movie that you should have watched by now has been feted right left and cent got its just desserts. Its a great movie by all  reports. It has also gotten nominated for the Amakula Kampala Cinema Caravan Festival that opens on Wednesday in the home of that awesome TV show The Hostel – Kampala. Amakula is an festival that started in 2004 and is now probabaly the biggest movie festival in the pearl of Africa.  The festival theme for the 2012 “Safeguarding Independence” in the light of he Golden Jubilee celebrations across the region and its not just Nairobi Half Life that are in the running.
