His first reaction was to ask which shop I bought the offending shoes. He then informed me that when the shoes fell apart, the first thing I should have done was go back to the shop and I would have immediately been issued a replacement pair. The fact that I took them to the cobbler first meant that there was no one who could do anything at this late stage.

In the interests of those of you that might be interested buying Bata shoes, try and return the shoe and see if they give you a replacement pair. Alternatively, Bata could always try and stop selling shoes we have to return.

Hey James, I will attest to Bata being 'nice enough' to replace a shoe if it fails to meet the desired target expectations eg falls apart. It happened to me once and I actually got a replacement.
