Judy Waruiru off to Qatar

Judy second from right

Judy Waruiru recently for left Qatar. She was the manager of Online Sales at Nationmedia.com. I have known Judy for quite a while since our college days at USIU. The girl loved the books and I expected her to do well in the IT field. I was slightly surprised when she ended up at NairobiNet the ISP. I didn't expect her stay there too long as she was clearly cut for bigger things.

She was quickly snapped up by Kenya Airways as the person in charge of their website. Whiled there she did quite a bit of work moving the website from a brochure to a website that could generate the airline some form of revenue. She left Kenya-airways.com for nationmedia.com where she was at the head of a team that changed one of the most valuable African properties online to be one of the most profitable for the nation media group.

As she was pulling these stunts, Qatar Airways came a calling and off course she could not resist (I wouldn't!). I guess they were impressed by her great work at Kenya-Airways.com as they should be. The lass will be stationed at the Doha base and living in Qatar from now on.

Congratulations Judy. We will miss you.
