Valentine reloaded and a few other reasons to cheer up (possibly)
Wednesday, 14 September 2011 14:42
Its not being the best few days has it? The news headlines have been just terrifying to say the very least. The city mortuary has been piling up with bodies from the horrific Sinai fire that has been making all the headlines. The images from that fire have not been pretty and I was being lambasted on my Tweeter yesterday with guys complaining bitterly that The Star should NOT have run that scary photo. The truth as The Star editorial stated is that the photo should provoke action as we like to hide behind truth a bit too much in this town.

Then there are so many bad things going down really. Some bad dudes (Al Qaeda? Al Shabaab?) killed a Brit and then kidnapped his wife with the US special forces helping to look for her. The suspected inside job may be even worse as the lady turns out to be deaf which cant be the best of situations for her safety who is set to be paraded live by said bad guys. Then while we are getting around this story we have the now bi-annual drinking spree that kills and blinds Kenya like a nonsense as seven died after consuming a deadly in Ruiru. Then there is that Zanzibar ferry disaster to stress about.

If you have been following the news its just not been fun and we are all looking for a good reason to cheer up. I realise that I cant do much to relieve your stress especially if you happen to be one of the victims of those thing that happened above. However there are some none deathly things happening around town for you to consider. If there is anything the spread the love festival thing at the Crowne Plaza last night showed me it is that we need to look positively and offer solutions.

Take Claire Ikalur of Claire Consulting who recently unleashed the Event Business Essentials education series 2011 to help you provide you essential business knowledge & skills to aid in shaping the trends towards a professional & innovative events industry. It will educate, through experiences of

Not interested in being given training? Can I interest you in Valentine Reloaded? The good people at Zetu deals have given us a new concept for those in love. You don't have to wait for a whole year to celebrate your loved one. Today just happens to be 6 months after the last Valentine's Day which is hated so much by some. If you want to enjoy the 6 month valentine then head out to Club Legend tonight and get some nice goodies. You can also check out more information on the official Valentines Reloaded facebook page.

What? You dont have a loved one to lavish you with flowers and cakes and what have you? Then this weekend is your chance to head out to meet Pastor Chris Ojigbani as he storms Kenya again to pray for you to lose your singledom or to end your drama with your on-again-off-again significant other. Once he prays for you there will much less stress in your life right?
